Why we opened a workshop in Riau

Not long ago, a sauna order from Pekanbaru meant dealing with Java. The pitch would be a province-wide page that never named a single district, the freight and the technician's hotel bill would show up only after the deposit cleared, and any repair meant waiting on someone to book a flight. The demand, meanwhile, was sitting right here: generous plots in Panam and Marpoyan Damai, gyms and physio clinics strung along Jalan Sudirman, club houses inside the old oilfield compounds around Rumbai, and staff messes and guest houses out past Duri and Dumai running cabins well past their working life.

Marpoyan Damai won the location on geography alone: ten minutes to the airport, sitting on the Soekarno-Hatta corridor between Panam and Bukit Raya, and half an hour from Rumbai. Java trucks unload here, heating elements and chiller spares sit on the shelf, and every panel gets assembled and checked on-site before it goes out for install.

How we build for Riau's climate and its grid

One element never changes job to job: the sandwich wall of rockwool, a foil vapour barrier and a vented gap, because leave it out and 80–90 % humidity turns timber black within two or three years. Three things, though, are specific to working here. Electricity gets discussed before timber does, because the meter is what decides between infrared, a smaller cabin or a PLN upgrade. Plunge chillers get sized against 28–30 °C tap water and a 33 °C room rather than pulled from a spec sheet. And on estates and camps running off their own generator, load figures, soft start and a standalone ELCB go into the quote as line items, not as an afterthought.

Every handover follows the same script: cabin up to temperature, tub down to its target, the ELCB tripped deliberately while you watch, and only after that does the warranty get signed. The build specifics live on the dry sauna page and the ice bath page.

Who does the work and what the warranty covers

The team is compact and local: one project manager on the phone the same day, two crews for assembly, an electrician responsible for every job's SiHF cable, breaker and ELCB, and a refrigeration technician handling chillers and steam generators. We cut panels and build benches ourselves; Harvia, Sawo and Tylö heaters arrive complete, with spares held on the shelf in Marpoyan Damai.

That gets you two years of structural warranty from us and one to two years of factory cover on the heater, plus a service visit every six months if you are a commercial client.
