Why we opened a workshop in Riau

Until recently, anyone in Pekanbaru who wanted a sauna had to order from Java. The contractor would show a province-wide page with not a single district named, freight and technician accommodation would surface after the deposit, and a service call meant waiting for someone to buy a flight. Meanwhile the demand was plainly here: wide-plot houses in Panam and Marpoyan Damai, gyms and physiotherapy clinics along Jalan Sudirman, club houses in old oilfield compounds around Rumbai, and staff messes and guest houses out towards Duri and Dumai with cabins long past their useful life.

We chose Marpoyan Damai for its geography. Ten minutes from the airport, on the Jalan Soekarno-Hatta corridor that links Panam to Bukit Raya, and half an hour from Rumbai. The unit takes trucks from Java, holds heating elements and chiller spares, and is where panels are assembled and checked before a pickup takes them to a customer's house.

How we build for Riau's climate and its grid

One thing about our cabins is the same everywhere we work: the sandwich wall with rockwool, a foil vapour barrier and a vented gap, because without it 80–90 % humidity blackens timber within two or three years. Three habits are local. First, we talk about electricity before we talk about timber, since the meter decides whether the answer is infrared, a two-person cabin or a PLN upgrade. Second, plunge chillers are sized from 28–30 °C tap water and a 33 °C room, not from a catalogue. Third, for estates and camps living on generator power, load figures, soft start and a separate ELCB are line items in the quote rather than a footnote.

Every job finishes the same way: the cabin at working temperature, the tub at its target, the ELCB tripped in front of you, and only then the warranty document signed. The construction detail is spelled out on the dry sauna page and the ice bath page.

Who does the work and what the warranty covers

The team is small and lives here: one project manager who calls you the same day, two assembly crews, an electrician who owns the SiHF, breaker and ELCB side of every job, and a refrigeration technician for chillers and steam generators. Panels and benches are made in our own workshop; Harvia, Sawo and Tylö heaters are imported complete, with spares kept on the shelf in Marpoyan Damai.

You get two years of structural warranty from us, one to two years of factory warranty on the heater, and a six-monthly service visit for commercial clients.
