Who tends to pick infrared over a full sauna here?

And people who simply want a gentler session — 45–60 °C is mild enough to sit and read through for half an hour, which suits older users and anyone who finds 90 °C rough going in a city that is already hot outside.

The mechanism itself is worth understanding before choosing. Rather than heating the air, an infrared cabin heats you directly, so the room around you stays mild while your skin does the work. There is no water on stones, no steam, no wave of heat when someone opens the door. Plenty of clients end up owning both: infrared indoors for weekday evenings, a full cabin outdoors for the weekend session.

The arithmetic behind skipping a PLN upgrade

It comes down to load. A four-person dry sauna needs a 6 kW heater, which means a 7,700 VA supply. An infrared cabin draws 1.7–2.4 kW — about what an air conditioner and a kettle use running together — so it sits inside an existing 2,200–5,500 VA connection with capacity left over. It still gets its own dedicated circuit, SiHF cable, breaker and ELCB, because anyone sitting damp-skinned in a timber box deserves proper protection regardless of the wattage involved.

That single fact settles plenty of projects in the older parts of town. Where the meter genuinely cannot move, it is infrared or nothing, and we would rather fit something that actually works than sell a heater the house cannot support. If your supply already sits at 7,700 VA or better, we will say plainly that a dry sauna gives a stronger session for similar money.

The cabin itself, and why installation takes barely a day

The body is spruce or hemlock behind a tempered glass front, sized from 1×1 m for one person up to roughly 1.2×1.5 m for two. Carbon panels sit behind the back, at calf height and beside the shoulders, so heat reaches you evenly instead of favouring one side. A digital controller handles temperature and session length, and lighting, a towel rail and a backrest come together as an accessory set at IDR 1.5–8 million.

Installation moves fast: the cabin arrives in panels, the crew puts it together, the electrician runs the circuit, and we test it with you that same day or the next. Running cost is the lowest of anything we build — around IDR 100,000–250,000 a month even used daily.
