A prefab sauna cabin is a panel-built room made in our workshop, delivered flat and bolted together on site in one or two days. It suits a compact home sauna in Bukit Raya, an apartment terrace near Sudirman, or a staff mess out towards Duri. Indicative price IDR 15–35 million delivered and installed.
What is a prefab sauna cabin, and who is it for?
Everything in a prefab sauna cabin is finished before it leaves Marpoyan Damai: wall panels with the insulation, foil and vent gap already inside, benches cut, door hung, heater bracket fixed, cabling loomed. On site the crew bolts the panels together, connects a dedicated circuit and runs the first heating. No demolition, no wet trades, no dust in the house.
It is the right answer in three situations. A household that wants a home sauna without rebuilding a bathroom. A rented house or a mess where a permanent structure is not appropriate, since a prefab cabin can be dismantled and moved. And a company that needs to equip several staff houses on an estate to the same specification, where identical cabins are cheaper and easier to service than five bespoke ones. It is not a tent and not a plastic sweat box: the walls, timber and heater are the same family of parts as our full dry sauna.
Sizes, sauna price and what arrives on the truck
The common sizes are a one-person cabin at about 1×1 m, a two-person at 1.5×1.2 m with a 3.6 kW heater, and a compact four-person build. Delivered and installed, the indicative sauna price is IDR 15–35 million; step up to a full custom two-person cabin in pine with better fittings and you are at IDR 55–70 million. What arrives is the cabin in panels, benches, the door with its 8 mm tempered glass, the heater with its stones, the control unit and the cabling kit.
Access matters more than size. Panels are made so two people can carry them up a normal staircase or through a side gate, which is why a prefab cabin fits a first-floor room in a Panam cluster or a terrace behind a shophouse in the centre. At the survey we measure the narrowest point of the route, not just the room.
Electricity for a prefab cabin on a small supply
Most prefab cabins are chosen precisely because the house has a modest supply. A 3.6 kW heater for a two-person cabin runs inside 5,500 VA, provided that room's air conditioning is off while it heats. A one-person cabin can be built around a 2.4 kW element and lives comfortably on 3,500 VA. Anything above that — a four-person cabin at 6 kW — brings you back to a PLN upgrade to 7,700 VA, which the owner applies for and pays.
The wiring standard does not change with the price. Heat-resistant SiHF cable, a dedicated breaker and an ELCB, all tested at handover. If your meter genuinely cannot move, an infrared cabin at 1.7–2.4 kW is the alternative, and we will say so rather than sell you a heater your house cannot feed. Full figures are on the price list.

Frequently asked questions
Can a prefab cabin be moved later?
Yes, that is one of its advantages. The panels unbolt, the heater comes off its bracket and the cabin can be rebuilt at a new address. We charge for the dismantling and re-installation visit, not for a new cabin.
Is it as durable as a built-in sauna?
The wall build-up is identical: rockwool, foil vapour barrier and a vented gap behind the cladding. The difference is the joint detailing and the finishes, not the physics, so it copes with Pekanbaru humidity the same way.
How fast can you deliver one?
Assembly is one to two days. The realistic wait is stock: if the size and heater are in the workshop, within a fortnight; if the heater has to be ordered from Java, add one to two weeks of freight.
